Evaluation question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product?
After creating my survey on survey monkey before making my thriller, I found out that that most of the people that took the survey and frequently visited the cinema where aged between 16 and 21 on average. This also shows us that people under 16 did not go to cinema to watch thrillers as much as the other age groups, and this could be due to most thrillers involving violence and horror and that they could end up having a 12A or 15+ certificate on them.

Also by making this survey we found out through the same group of people, the different types of thrillers that were popular. The two most popular groups where Psychological and Action, which both had the same amount of votes, and were the majority of votes overall which both of these fall into the same types of genre that our thriller is based around.

Further update
We have filmed more of our thriller and we have edited what we have so far and now just need our last part uploaded and edited before we can publish on our blogs. We have tried to get in contact with the bands who's music we wish to use but have had difficulty in them receiving our email however we have been advised that the band may have broke up which is why their email does not work, we have also been advised that because we have tried to make contact we should just use it, therefore once we have finished filming and editing all that will be left to do is to put the track over the top and lastly to create our title sequence then we will have finished our thriller.
After this all that will be left to do is our evaluation.

Thriller update
With our thriller underway we have been on location 3 times, we have got lots of footage to work with but unfortunately we had some faults with our equipment along the way on wednesday the camera died which put a spanner in the works for filming that day, so with a charged camera we returned and this time the tape decided to tell us that there was no room left to film on, again stopping filming for that day. So now with all our little hitches hopefully sorted out we plan to return to our location and finish filming during the half term.

In our thriller Rachel and I plan to film a fast paced exciting action thriller, it will also have elements of a psychological thriller. The plot of the thriller has a exciting twists as it plays on a peoples mind at the same time there will be a chase which makes it look like something else is the antagonist. The antagonist will remain unknown and it will end with a gripping cliff hanger as we will be left to find out if the protagonists will escape or not.

Focus Group Evaluation
For another way of conveying our market research we had to film a focus group that watched us discus the three of our ideas and then asked people what they thought of them. We asked questions what were relevant to our research.
The questions asked were;
During our discussion we quickly discovered that our initial idea was not sufficient enough to be able to produce so we had to pick another of the three ideas. We concluded that will us our mixed idea of action/thriller in a forest.
The questions asked were;
- What makes a good thriller?
- What idea do you like best and why?
- Whats your favourite part of a thriller?
- Would you prefer to see the antagonist or protagonist in the first shot?
- Would you prefer to have a happy ending in the opening scene or a continued action?
During our discussion we quickly discovered that our initial idea was not sufficient enough to be able to produce so we had to pick another of the three ideas. We concluded that will us our mixed idea of action/thriller in a forest.
